The night markets are where I learned how I eat. Slowly, badly, with both hands, talking to people I will never see again.
Taipei in October is a generous city. The MRT is so polite I want to apologize to it. The hills around Yangmingshan smell like sulphur and chrysanthemum, which is a combination I did not know I needed.
I think the best cities are the ones where you can be alone for a long time without becoming lonely. Taipei is one of those.
